After impressive performances earlier this year at the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, the AG2R Citroen Team have unveiled the eight-man lineup they intend to achieve success with at the 2023 Vuelta a Espana.
"We arrive at the start of the Vuelta a Espana with an ambitious team. The number 1 objective will be to win stages," explains Julien Jurdie to the team's official website. "We want to make it three by winning a stage of every grand tour this season. We already achieved this in 2006 and 2021. This time, Aurélien Paret-Peintre at the Giro d'Italia and Felix Gall at the Tour de France have shown us the way. Now it's up to us! We'll have to be bold and opportunistic to slip into the breakaways and raise our arms."
A lineup of Dorian Godon, Geoffrey Bouchard, Mikaël Chérel, Paul Lapeira, Nicolas Prodhomme, Damien Touzé, Andrea Vendrame and Larry Warbasse show off a varied team with opportunities for victory set to come from various different types of stages.
