- We can go deeper and say that CX would be better without Ronhaar, Nieuwenhuis, Nys, Aerts and Vanthourenhout... Maybe "true" fight was somewhere in the back of all CX riders? Or we can stop listening those "experts" and enjoy fight between MvdP and WvA :-)
- It depends. Tadej was more precocious than Jonas, maybe his declination also could be more precocious. Jonas was always slower in his maturation; he only started winning important races after he was 24-25. One can mature/decline a little earlier or a little later, regardless of crono-age.
- Exactly what I wanted to say. It was literally his first race ever as a neopro
- Pretty sure FDJ is happy with what Demi achieved. Sure WC was a cockup, but TdFF she just lost to a stronger rider.
- Sloppy fact checking by the writer. Tadej road the TDU in 2019.
- I'm sure money has already changed hands (or at least instalments), as the team needs the money upfront to be able to operate.
- she had a great season and 2 or 3 bad days. the world championship was perhaps a reflection of Dutch incompetence as much as her own. which has been seen in the Olympics and other races too. The entire women's peloton did the same thing in Omloop.
As for the TdF, she just got beat by a better prepared rider.
- it was a great race, but it is still also so fun to see MVDP's mastery and see if WVA is up to speed to give him competition.
- his attitude is so great - there are loads of races to win from January to October, and if you're winning, they're not going to leave you at home.
no reason for a rider to get upset about not getting this race or that, there are plenty to go around, and if you win the small ones you will start to get the big ones.
- There could be some provisions/clauses in the contract to allow an early exit. Or the two parties could come to an agreement for an exit. Another option is that PT will remove its brand from the jersey but keep funding the team as per T&Cs of the contract. Time will tell!
