As in every stage preview Alberto Contador has analyzed the 21st day of the Giro d'Italia 2025 on Eurosport, although this time with little to say considering the classic characteristics of the day and that the general classification and the different jerseys are totally decided. He looks towards a bunch sprint and how the race will finish this afternoon.
The stage will be 144.8 kilometers long, starting and finishing in Rome, with a first pass over the finish line, a long loop and then a return to the circuit to pass another 8 times before the final sprint. The new Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican will be watching the race and with the Italian capital's famous monuments to be seen, it will always be an interesting day of cycling even if the overall classification has now already been decided.
"The circuit of Rome is always complicated with those tiles and we will see a sprint of very high speed to close this Giro d'Italia," 'El Pistolero said. Men like Olav Kooij or Kaden Groves should be the favorites to win with Mads Pedersen will confirm his Maglia Ciclamino, earned through a fantastic first week. Simon Yates, Lorenzo Fortunato and Isaac del Toro will also be wearing their respective jerseys to the final podium, but there is one final opportunity for outsider sprinters such as Sam Bennett or Matteo Moschetti to surprise and save their race.
