- I sympathize sprinters. In the modern era, they peak for a few short years before being overtaken by youngsters, then they have to take even riskier moves in already hazard prone finales just to gamble for a win. Dylan was on fire while he was with Jumbo.
- Your Mom is boring
- They need a bike with a hose on so they can soak these pr*cks. Wont affect the flare, but might make the people think twice. Since they obviously only care about themselves.
- What a strange comparison to draw. If anything, this is more like when Ben O'Connor took La Roja and it took Visma/Roglic the rest of the Vuelta to slowly rip it back off him.
- It was a mistake. Cobbles , wet corner, any experienced rider knows it would be slippery. they were desperate.
- Cobbles wet corner, all known beforehand. It was the riders fault.
- A lot of people get very annoyed by whatever anyone on screen does or says these days and then need to vent because they feel it’s a personal attack on them, their right to enjoy themselves, not listen to stuff they don’t line or agree with, not see things they don’t like, or people they can’t stand.
‘
Then (for the least worrying consequence) they themselves annoy a lot of other people telling the world how upsetting it is for them to have to endure that.
And why does this matter to you so much, have you not built up a basic tolerance towards behaviour that bothers you from the many thousands of people that pass you as you go about your daily life?
Are the characters on screen beamed into your private space there just for your personal expectations?
If riders listened to this ki d of crap they’d have to stop all their victory dedications too, there’s always going to be someone that finds it annoying, childish, exaggerated, predictable, whatever.
- I think that's a pretty decent idea but it has to work properly or it'll be a fiasco like before
- You didn’t get it, it was a (sarcastic) dig at certain people’s tendency to copyright anything they can and then attack anyone they can for « infringement ».
Anyone now using the letter x for any purpose other than writing words should be aware of the potential consequences.
- Not a race or stage goes by without a crash these days and it’s everywhere not just at cobbled finishes. Much of the time this kind of criticism is just deflecting responsibility, some riders obviously feel they no longer have any when it gets critical.
Maybe they need to start thinking about using tech to teach them.
Tag bikes like in fencing so they give off a signal when there is contact and punish the first two riders who set off a crash (as well as whoever provoked the situation if there was no contact but images or proof of their responsibility is available).
That would go some way towards making sure riders keep more appropriate distances.
Trouble is, speeds have gone up and brakes are better but spacing hasn’t increased and reaction times aren’t better so it’s totally logical there are more crashes.
