- Yeah- and that's why its a pointless discussion
- I think the premise is that everyone else is on modern bikes, and Pog is riding an old bike.
- I lost respect when watching Nys act like a spoiled child. Sometimes not every little thing is perfect and you have to keep your cool about it.
- Totally pointless discussion without very specific details of who would get to ride what bike.
Only 2 things are sure 1. he’d not win if he were riding my bike and 2. I’m not going to spend 5-10x more to get a bike that would allow me to win more often against guys prepared to spend that, or shave my legs. But if anyone needs to make space or even has unused aero wheels, I’m all for extending usage.
- Cheap one, I think you need to do some more research into clenbuterol use in meat production, especially now that mercosur is upon us in Europe and Trump has promised to take a whole bunch if steak off his Argentinian pal.
- Exactly, had you asked him to (anonymously) make a list of probable suspects 6 months ago, I doubt he would have listed him. His method would apply to so many who suddenly have results or a breakthrough.
What gets me is why it took so long if the values were dodgy over all that time, they could have avoided the extra complications that the move to Bora no doubt added.
I’d also be interested to learn how much a prospective team gets to see of a riders’ passport, are they supposed to get a look or is it a confidential document for the rider / UCI and testers? Can anybody ask to have a look so all sorts or people can leak data or create rumours?
- i think Pog could still win if the bike was not more than 1 to 1 1/2 pounds heavier and he could use 28mm tires
- Yep, this moment will live in infamy. I watched it live on tv at the time (obviously I knew Van Aert was up the road but didn't know Del Toro hadn't been told) and I was incredulous at the lack of concern by Del Toro at the time when Yates surged away. Now it all makes sense.
- Not sure why there are comments defending cheats. This is one thing (catching doping cheats) the UCI is at least getting right.
- I agree. Yes, Pogi is a natural talent, but he lost the Tour in 2022 and 2023, because UAE didn't see his weakness but Visma did. If UAE did there job, Pogi would probably be a 6 time Tour de France winner.
