It's notable that one of the world's top road cyclists, MvdP, has won comparably little at the world's most important bike race. In theory he should have a freer hand than Wout at the Tour as his domestique duties only apply on stages where Jasper can make it to the end with the front group.

Funny how little was spoken before of the potential of several of the top 10 before this Tour. And now, with all the buzz being made, we still won’t know how each will react and cope with sudden expectations.
