It's only in a downward spiral when Plugge can't find more money

Have to agree. It's like, "Let's stick a random maple leaf on this jersey in the least prominent position"

That's one of the most poorly designed Canadian national champions jerseys that I've ever seen. It's more like a lazy afterthought.

Maybe it’s even simpler. He got a check up, discovered an issue and decided it wasn’t worth taking more risk. Not every rider feels like discussing health or personal matters openly despite many doing so in order for their decisions to get accepted without controversy.

Mads has a track record of turning in results that matter... Including a rainbow jersey.

I don’t particularly like it but compared to other sports and domains you can’t really say cyclists suffer. It’s more conjecture than snooping, stalking or hounding.

It’s a possibility but doesn’t add up totally. JV’s desire was « known » since a while and nothing transpired from SY (thinking about it since a long time - soubds very much like longer than since JV’s Giro proposition). Visma would not have allowed themselves to get in such a mess had they felt SY was becoming a « liability ». Also, burn out? C’mon, it’s only been months since his most satisfying result ever that he felt like repeating or building on, sounds contradictory. Here’s another one to add to the growing list. Maybe he’ll (like so many) will come out of retirement again, and find a place without problems. Maybe he was encouraged to find a way to break his contract? Speaking of breaking « contracts » which our American friends consider the ultimate no-go in life, how come there is no financial consequence?

Oleg Tinkov wanted change in cycling but it was poo-poo'd, maybe yet another Team doping scandal will do it 🙄
