Multi-disciplinary super talent Puck Pieterse has once again proven her worth in the Mountain Bike discipline. This afternoon in Romania the Dutch rider has become European Champion with a dominant performance in the mud.
Pieterse managed to ride away from Pauline Ferrand-Prévot after a few laps as the French rider crashed and then abandoned the race. The conditions were atrocious in the Cheile Grădiștei track and Pieterse won with over a minute over Austrian Mona Mitterwallner and over two minutes after Germany's Nina Benz.
