  Van Aert became a weight for Visma. Yes, he achieved his life goal, went on vacation and showed up with 5 kg. extra... and who cares about the Tour team now that he has won Roubaix. He's a "great" team player. We can see the difference between Pogi and Aert, if we exclude their weight and height? Pogi is in form all year, while Aert at Strade Bianche/Dauphine is nothing, but that is "normal" and "acceptable" to everyone. Pogi does not have that luxury... that is the diffrence between a real champion and a seasonal cyclist. What I'm saying about Aert also applies to Vingegaard and MVDP, if they weren't hiding 80% of the calendar.

  One thing they have in common is that they win almost entirely at the world tour level, not the .1 or .PRO level. Not all racers with many wins can say that, but their wins are almost completely at the highest level.

  Only when you catch someone The issue is, you don’t have a commissaire behind every rider so not everyone can get caught all the time but obviously once you have a reputation or start being difficult with them, the focus will be on you. Tell me one walk of life or institution that applies all the rules to everyone equally? Law enforcement, government, justice, taxes, supermarket check outs, disco security, bartenders? Go on, just one please.

  This isn't the issue because they aren't hiding their use of this position. It is the position all 3 use when riding solo as it is the best & their for most used position when riding solo. You can't have different rules for different riders, rules need to be applied evenly. Either they need to apply these rules to every rider or to nobody.

  Brilliant... Juan is using his fire to say the right stuff. As good a response as it gets. They've had a great rivalry over the years, which can quickly translate into working well as teammates. It was great to see them laughing and joking after the ITT.
