Tut Tut cyclinguptodate. The exact quote to give context is “I’m glad I showed I’m stronger than Mathieu van der Poel on the mountain bike. But I think he’s stronger than me on the road. Still, someday I want to win a world title there, too.”

He has at least one good season left in him. He is still powerful and while possibly not a winner, he has his moments and could be used to pace Onley up the climbs. He may not like that role however?

I understand that I'm letting him know he's not there so he can change it

Great to see that Thibau is back on form, sprinting to third after following an attack

Rubbish... she even admits that staying upright is part of it. Evenepoel’s second place at the Tour had an asterisk because of Vingegaard's crash, and so did del Toro's podium. At the Giro, Vingegaard can owe his victory to Almeida's health issues. Last year's Vuelta would have been Pogačar's if he wasn't tired after the Tour. Last year's Tour would have been Vingegaard if he had won. All rubbish

imagine he wins in montreal ... then he's only got the gravel title missing ...

I hope you're correct! But I just don't share the same positivity with Carapaz joining Ineos. He was great in his prime, but I don't see his winning ways having many years left. Year on year, I find that Ineos continue to invest in either the past-their-prime cyclists, or the super domestiques who they try to push to be GT winners but will never quite make it. Perhaps because they don't have the top budget they once had? Hope I'm wrong but I just don't see it.
