- Really?
Had they chased properly they could have gotten back to Jonas.
Remco has A point but has to understand each has own motivations.
Yes Lipo crested ahead (and that probably gave him hope of gaining time on Remco to « settle » leadership duties, but either he’s not that strong or he miscalculated help from DT that would never come in THAT situation because in the end it was Remco who ended up ahead, having done most of the work so teamwise it was Lipo who messed up.
Now, had Lipo collaborated with Remco, the others would have realised it would be doable to catch Jonas which would have helped EVERYONE in their podium quests, even DT had more to gain from closing in on Jonas than lose from reducing Tadej’s margin a bit.
- More interested in why Remco dipped the shoulder into Paul on the Tourmalet...
- Uijtdebroeks is beyond annoying. he sucks up headlines he doesn’t even deserve.
- Seems no journalist though it was interesting enough to ask, otherwise we’d know.
Probably he just got in the way when it all started which would be ungentlemanly from someone not going to sprint.
- They might have talked about it and laughed over dinner, but Remco I think doesn't forget slights so easily. He is pissed that he didn't get full leadership. People complain about Remco but I like his character. He is is fun to watch and listen to. While Pog is off doing his thing it makes for a great distraction. One thing is sure that from position one down, the rest of the tour is going to be interesting.
- Why are we surprised, this was inevitable!
- he said 'I don’t currently see Jonas Vingegaard as being much better than Florian Lipowitz or Paul Seixas.' --> he did not mention remco in this comparison ... quite telling i would say ...
- Grabbing the Popcorn! The Remco show is gonna Start!
- Pog looked exhausted at the finish too, though of course happy., and he admitted to Del Toro that he had been on his limit at one point. It's like people are watching different races sometimes, but I guess that's the human experience.
- Massive respect for Jonas yesterday he dug in and limited losses which could have been even more. I feared for him on the descent of the Tourmalet, for the first couple of kms he did not look in control.
