I actually love a combination of a run in and then a circuit. gives the best of both worlds, and easier to control a 50km run in than 150km of an open road.

Nobody controls 1300 km, they do rolling closures for sections upto 1-4 hrs. the biggest problem is that riders who are stragglers should not be left alone and also not press hard on a downhill. Crashing at 100 kph poses serious risks left alone a head on collision with a car.

Less enviromental polution too. Way more boring though possibly?

> "It's very difficult to control a 1,300-kilometer 'stadium'" Agree. I want more nice loops in road cycling: - It is better for safety (easier to protect 20-40 km loop than 200 km road) - Better for spectators (they can watch their favourite riders many times) - Better for riders (after first lap they know what surface is and how reliable it is) - Better for transmission (extra stationary cameras etc.)

Well if Thomas said it you can expect the exact opposite.

Pogi doesn't goto every GT Gall made the podium of the Giro. He would have won without Jonas. Gall, Ayuso, Remco were all on the market. Forget winning or even podium they cant even win a single stage

After they double-shafted him on the Vuelta he lost to Kuss, im not sure he had a reason to stay there. VIngegaard jumped him in the hierarchy, when he shouldn’t have even been there, and then both of them had to deal with the uproar of taking something away from the loyal domestique. He had no reason to stay, and Visma royally screwed up by having him leave. They haven’t been the same team since.
