  I don't think he will have any problem being called a Scot, in fact he will prefer it, just as people from England prefer to be called English and not British and from Wales to be called Welsh not British.

  Can’t wait for Ainfluencers, if they don’t already exist ;-) Completely agree Maria BUT, you forgot one important thing, parents. My kids wouldn’t think of going after anyone famous like that. In my day you had authentic experience with celebrities because it was all down to chance, they lived their life and if you were lucky, it crossed yours. I consider myself more lucky than most having spontaneously met and spoken with many, not just seen them.

  I think the biggest problem, not just for cyclists but for modern society as a whole, is social media and the possibility of making easy money. Everyone wants their own video/photo/story for their influencer "careers." Even children are not interested in studying; they think they'll earn a lot without bothering to study or work—just be an influencer!.

  Ayuso was never going to win this race. He is mentally not prepared to face the pressure of racing against big names. He has a head problem that he must overcome first.
