The Christmas block promised good racing and it has delivered. Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock entered a very tight battle at the Superprestige Diegem race, and the latter two had an epic fight for the win in the final minutes of racing.
The race ended up decided within it's final seconds only, as van Aert managed to get a very brief gap on Pidcock. The race had been filled with attacks from all three riders but it came down to the World and Belgian champion at the end of the day, and the footage from the battle could remain in memory of fans for years.
