Laurens Sweeck solos to victory in the Superprestige Merksplas

Laurens Sweeck has won the Superprestige Merksplas. He distanced himself in the second lap and maintained it till the end for his fourth victory of the season.
Laurens Sweeck and Niels Vandeputte started the race with a nice lead. Soon Michael Vanthourenhout and Tom Pidcock also joined the chase. After two laps, Sweeck managed to distance himself.
After racing six laps, Sweeck enjoyed a lead of 18 seconds over Lars van der Haar and Eli Iserbyt. Tom Pidcock was unable to keep up with the first group and was left behind. Pidcock crashed in the last lap.
Laurens Sweeck crossed the finish line with 15 seconds gap over Lars van der Haar and secured his fourth victory of the season. Lars van der Haar finished second. Michael Vanthourenhout took the bronze.
