Fem van Empel has started the cyclocross season in perfect fashion and taken victory at the first UCI World Cup event of the campaign in Waterloo.
In a race dominated by the Dutch, the Jumbo-Visma rider led home a one-two-three of Dutchwomen as Puck Pieterse and Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado completed the podium.
