After missing the last two races due to a nerve injury in his leg,
Eli Iserbyt is set to return to cyclocross action in Besançon on Sunday as confirmed by Belgian Cycling's announcement of their travelling squad to the upcoming
World Cup round.
Iserbyt, the current Belgian national champion, struggled to a 15th placed finish in his last outing at Superprestige Zilvermeercross Mol on the 23rd of December. Feeling the effects of a busy start to the winter though, the Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal star missed out on Boxing Day in Zonhoven and the 27th in Loenhout. Alongside Iserbyt are notable names such as
Michael Vanthourenhout,
Laurens Sweeck and
Niels Vandeputte among others although
Wout van Aert and Thibau Nys will not be present.
On the women's side of things, the Belgian selection is led by the likes of
Marion Norbert Riberolle,
Alicia Franck and
Jinse Peeters. See the full list of elite Belgian women and men riding in Besancon down below.
