Wilco Kederman is excited to win Tour de France as a team: "Perhaps this is the highlight of my career"

Jumbo-Visma now has the Tour de France definitively in its pocket after the last mountain stage, and it releases the necessary euphoria at Jumbo-Visma. One of the key components of the winning team - Wilco Kelderman shares his excitement in an interview after the stage 20.
"Perhaps this is the highlight of my career," said Kelderman. "It's a different kind of satisfaction than when I was on the podium myself in the Giro, but it's almost as beautiful. Especially when you are on the road with such a strong team."
"It is very satisfying," said Kelderman. "Winning the Tour is the highest achievement you can achieve as a team. And when we dominate, that gives a great feeling."
However, the last GC day did not go quite as planned. !It was quite a chaotic stage. With Sepp Kuss, one of our strongest climbers dropped out early. That made it even more chaotic and not ideal. But all in all we got through the day well."
Kelderman was also happy with his own level in this Tour. "I had a good feeling, but of course I didn't have the ideal preparation. I should've ridden the Giro originally, but then I had to get back on track. That was a switch. I may not have been top-top this Tour, but I was pretty good overall."
