Mark Cavendish is reported to have already signed for B&B Hotels-KTM as the French team takes on extra budget for 2023. However the mystery remains over the team's future, and Cavendish has not yet revealed anything about it.
"We're here to talk about the first Singapore Tour de France Criterium. When I know, then you'll hear it," Cavendish told Cyclingnews in Singapore where the Manxman race the Tour de France-organized criterium. Cavendish is leaving Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team after a long season which featured some wins, but a large absence from racing since his absence from the Tour de France.
Cavendish has reportedly signed for B&B Hotels-KTM alongside future leadout men Max Richeze and Ramon Sinkeldam - alongside several other riders. The team was set for a grand reveal on the 26th of October, but it has been postponed as there was "absence of some of the main stakeholders in the 2023 team's project," which has also caused some tension regarding the team's future.
Manager Jerome Pineau has already reassured it was only a postpone, and the work is being done to keep the team's plans intact, and to apply for the UCI ProTeam level as soon as possible. New sponsors and riders will be announced aswell, Cees Bol and Nick Schultz are between the headliners.
