Vinícius Rangel, the 2022 Brazilian champion and a surprising 9th place of the 2021 U23 World Championships in Leuven, is heading into his 3rd season with Movistar Team. An all-or-nothing year for Rangel who has so far left only a vague impression in the World Tour.
2024 marks the last year of the 22-year-old Brazilian's contract, who, in a recent interview with Gregário Podcast, spoke about his 2023 season (mistakes, successes and setbacks, including Covid-19), as well as his expectations for next year, including some of the races on the menu for the first part of the season.
Rangel will get racing as early as at the Tour Down Under in Australia, then race the Tour Colombia, and then quickly back to Europe for races in Belgium, Italy and Spain. On the Gregário Podcast, the Brazilian revealed that after the Strade Bianche, he will continue with the group that will be in Italy, adding more races to the two already confirmed (Strade Bianche and Tour of the Alps).
