Stage 11 of the 2023
Vuelta a Espana saw a thrilling finale as the breakaway battled it out for the stage victory with
Cofidis' Jesus Herrada becoming the first Spaniard to win a stage at this year's edition of the race.
Herrada overcame the challenge of the likes of Romain Gregoire,
Andreas Kron and the INEOS Grenadiers duo of
Filippo Ganna and
Geraint Thomas to secure the summit finish victory. Nearly six minutes later, the GC riders crossed the line all together with the Red Jersey neutralised.
