VIDEO: Pedro Delgado recons Alto de l'Angliru ahead of decisive Vuelta a Espana clash

Perico Delgado has recorded a video for RTVE (one of his classic 'pericopuertos') with the Argentinean soccer coach, Lionel Scaloni, climbing the Angliru. The mythical Asturian giant will be climbed today, Wednesday, in the stage of the Vuelta a España and could decide the overall between Sepp Kuss, Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic.

The characteristics of the climb are simply brutal and breathtaking: With a total of 12.5 kilometers in distance, an average gradient of 10.2%, with ramps up to 23% and with a kilometer that reaches 17.5% average gradient. It has an altitude of 1,572 meters and a cumulative elevation gain of 1,300 meters. The stage will have just 124 kilometers starting from Ribadesella and will have two first category ascents, the Alto de la Colladiella and the Cordal, before facing the mythical Alto de L'Angliru.
