VIDEO: Mass crash takes down half peloton at Liège-Bastogne-Liège

With 60 kilometers to go at Liège-Bastogne-Liège a massive crash has struck the peloton, causing havoc inbetween several teams and many riders who hit the deck. During a small descending section between climbs, a crash took place due to the fighting for positioning on the narrow roads of the Ardennes.

The likes of Julian Alaphilippe, Romain Bardet, Ilan Van Wilder, Tim Wellens, Brandon McNulty, Ruben Guerreiro, Rigoberto Uran and Wilco Kelderman were confirmed to be in it, with more riders still unidentified. The World champion has in the meantime been confirmed to have suffered a pneumothorax alongside two broken ribs and a scapula.
