Just 20-years-old, not much was expected from
Juan Ayuso, the Spaniard returning at the
Tour de Romandie after a lengthy injury lay-off. In just three stages however, Ayuso has sent out a warning to the rest of the peloton.
Despite the fact he revealed post-stage that his "legs feel worse every day," Ayuso was able to take supreme victory on the stage three time-trial at the Tour of Romandie, his first win at World Tour level. Alongside the stage win, Ayuso also rode himself in to the overall lead of the race.
