VIDEO: Juan Ayuso announces return to peloton with emphatic victory on stage 3 of the Tour de Romandie

Just 20-years-old, not much was expected from Juan Ayuso, the Spaniard returning at the Tour de Romandie after a lengthy injury lay-off. In just three stages however, Ayuso has sent out a warning to the rest of the peloton.
Despite the fact he revealed post-stage that his "legs feel worse every day," Ayuso was able to take supreme victory on the stage three time-trial at the Tour of Romandie, his first win at World Tour level. Alongside the stage win, Ayuso also rode himself in to the overall lead of the race.
Finishing ahead of the Movistar Team rider Matteo Jorgensen and Ayuso's own teammate Adam Yates in the final standings of the stage, Ayuso now holds a lead of 18 seconds in the general classification over the Movistar rider going into tomorrow's fourth stage.
