VIDEO: Jonas Vingegaard's one-day struggles continue as Dane is dropped with over 100km to go at European Championships

Although he has three Grand Tour wins over the course of his career, Jonas Vingegaard famously does not have the best record when it comes to one-day races. Sadly for the Dane, those struggles seem to be hitting home once again at the 2025 European Championships.

Making his senior debut in the famous red and white of the Danish national team, Vingegaard has been dropped from the peloton with more than 100km still to go and without the likes of Remco Evenepoel, Tadej Pogacar and the rest even having to make a notable attack at the front just yet. Worrying signs for the Danish teams, who will now rest their hopes for the European title on the shoulders of Mattias Skjelmose. Time will tell if he can keep up with the aforementioned Pogacar and Evenepoel when they go.
