Egan Bernal has shared a video on social media this Wednesday, showing off his sprinting ability in what he termed to be his "first sprint" since the accident that almost took his life on January 24th this year.
The Colombian has been training in his base in Monaco where the physiotherapy work continues and he has been putting in some training to regain the form he has had in the past. Having done very little intensity over the last few months, only quantity, he has taken another step this week as he has put on some intensity in a training ride.
For the first time since returning to Europe, Bernal has shared his training file on Strava and he has shown to have done two sprints throughout the activity - one of them being the one in the video. The Colombian rode out 86 kilometers in the mountains of the Alps Maritimes around Nice with just over 3:30h on the bike and over 1800 meters of climbing.
