Vermeersch vs Vermeersch - Florian Vermeersch takes win at Antwerp Port Epic

Lotto Soudal's quest for UCI points have had a good day today as Florian Vermeersch stormed to the win in the rough Antwerp Port Epic - with a solo win the conclusion of what was a successful attack.

Towards the final hour of racing a group went up the road with the riders who went on to fight for the race win. Florian Vermeersch, Gianni Vermeersch, Timo Kielich, Adrien Petit, Jens Reynders and Thibau Nys. The group worked together towards the finale, with the Belgian rider taking off in the final kilometers for a solo win. Gianni Vermeersch finished in second place with Thibau Nys completing the podium.
