UCI Rankings Team Update | Visma win 1500 points in Olympic Games and leave INEOS to dust in fight for second place behind UAE

The Olympic Games road race has provided lots of points. Whilst Remco Evenepoel took the big win, teams wise it was Team Visma | Lease a Bike that had their riders perform collectively the best. Riders were racing by nation, but the Dutch team's figures had excellent performances that have seen them soar away from INEOS Grenadiers in the fight for second place as the best-scoring team this season.

You can check the previous update. UAE Team Emirates remain in first place, but have scored only 52 points over the past week. Visma in the meantime scored over 1500. In Paris Christophe Laporte was third, Attila Valter was fourth, Jan Tratnik was eighth and Matteo Jorgenson was ninth. Although representing their nations, these riders brought in massive points.

INEOS Grenadiers remain in third place but are now being chased by Soudal - Quick-Step who have scored around 1000, mostly due to Remco Evenepoel's victory. Lidl-Trek, Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale follow with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe overtaking Alpecin-Deceuninck to seventh place. Groupama climbed from 12th to 9th with Valentin Madouas' second place. Points from the Vuelta a Burgos (where Visma won with Sepp Kuss) and Arctic Race of Norway (where Uno-X dominated and won with Magnus Cort Nielsen) will be taken into account in the next update.
