This week's update features points scored in the one day World Tour Mapei Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, Pro Tour level stage race AlUla Tour, one day Spanish semi classics (Trofeo Calvià, Trofeo Ses Salines, Trofeo Serra Tramuntana, Trofeo Andratx - Pollença and Trofeo Palma) and Grand Prix La Marseillaise.
You can check the previous UCI Rankings update
here. After the second week of racing,
Jay Vine remains on top of the 2026 leaderboard, even if he didn't add a single point to his tally. The Aussie rider suffered
a hard crash in the last stage of the Tour Down Under due to a kangaroo invading the road, causing him a wrist fracture. He has been sidelined indefinitely, so he couldn't participate in the Cadel Evans Road Race.
Someone that was present in that race was
Mauro Schmid. The Swiss rider is having an excellent start of the season in Australia, and he was third at the one-day race, earning 220 points. This raised his tally to 665, exactly the same as Vine. An unusual coincidence that allows them to share the top of the leaderboard.
Almost everyone else inside the top 10 made the trip to Australia, which makes total sense given that the only World Tour races that have taken place so far were in that country. Tobias Lund Andresen completes the podium thanks to the 400 UCI points he was awarded after winning the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. He outsprinted Matthew Brennan, who also had a productive start of the season and is sitting in fourth place with 420 points.
Perhaps the biggest surprise comes with fifth place, which belongs to Brady Gilmore. The Australian youngster is making his World Tour debut with NSN, after spending 2 years at Israel's development team. He was essential for Ethan Vernon at the Tour Down Under, helping him to secure a stage win, and was given an opportunity to fight for his own result at the Cadel Evans race, which he didn't waste as he was third.
António Morgado is the only rider in the top 10 that stayed in Europe. The Portuguese rider was the designated leader in Spain and certainly performed as expected. He won Trofeo Calvià and finished inside the top 10 in the other three races he participated in, amassing 279 UCI points throughout the week, increasing his tally to 338.6.
Mauro Schmid has 9 professional wins

In the year-long rankings,
Tadej Pogacar obviously remains firmly in control, almost doubling the second place which is Jonas Vingegaard. The top 3 is not going to change until the next weeks, once the biggest stars begin their season. Still, we can see there were a couple of changes inside the top 10.
On the one hand,
Remco Evenepoel made his debut with the Red Bull - BORA -hansgrohe and didn't waste any time. He started in three races in Spain, and he won all three very convincingly, earning 267 points that were enough to move to fifth place after surpassing Joao Almeida. These two riders will be battling out in Spain this week, as they are both at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, so Almeida has the chance to reclaim the fifth spot.
On the other hand, Mathieu van der Poel didn't need to ride to move up to the seventh place, passing Tom Pidcock. The British rider has not started his season yet, meaning he couldn't defend his first place at the AlUla Tour he got last year, losing around 150 points.
Finally, the rider climbing the most spots has been the aforementioned
António Morgado, reaching the 78th place after overtaking 17 riders. The rider losing the most spots has been Corbin Strong, who went to Australia but couldn't replicate last year's success due to a crash.
