Kaixo @ehitzulia 👋. Here’s our lineup for the coming six days at #Itzulia2024 : 🇪🇸 @Igorarrieta9 🇪🇸 @juann_ayuso 🇳🇱 @sjoerdbax 🇲🇽 @ISAACDELTOROx1 🇺🇸 @BrandonMcNult 🇪🇸 @solermarc93 🇦🇺 @JayVine3 #UAETeamEmirates #WeAreUAE
Even without Tadej Pogacar who will skip Itzulia Basque Country, UAE Team Emirates can rely on multiple cards in their hunt for overall standings at the Spanish WorldTour stage race.
Entering the race as leader will be Juan Ayuso, second from the Tirreno-Adriatico, where he won the opening time trial, which will be crucial for the GC at Basque Country too.
Brandon McNulty will be the team's back-up leader. McNulty was in the overall lead of every race he did in 2024 at some point, yet only managed to finish it off at Volta a Andalucia in early February. He too should benefit from the 10 km test against the clock.
Wild cards in the UAE Team Emirates jersey will be young comet of this season, the 20-year-old Mexican wonder Isaac Del Toro who keeps on impressive left and right, his best exploit so far being 4th place at Tirreno-Adriatico, while riding in support of beforementioned Ayuso.
UAE Team Emirates lineup for Itzulia Basque Country:
Igor Arrieta, Juan Ayuso, Sjoerd Bax, Isaac Del Toro, Brandon McNulty, Marc Soler and Jay Vine
