Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe has confirmed the roster for the 2026 Tour de France, an edition where Remco Evenepoel and Florian Lipowitz will share leadership with the aim of fighting for the general classification. It will be the German team’s 13th appearance at the Grande Boucle, and they arrive with one of the most complete line-ups in their history.
The strategy hinges on dual leadership, bringing together two riders with a very similar profile based on recent results. Both Evenepoel and Lipowitz finished third at the last two editions of the Tour de France and also won the best young rider classification. Now, for the first time, they will join forces as leaders of the same team.
The squad believes both riders offer complementary qualities. The Belgian stands out for his explosiveness, attacking instinct, and versatility, while the German has established himself as one of the most consistent riders in stage races. That blend will give the team multiple tactical options across the three weeks of racing.
Sports director Zak Dempster underlined the importance of the collective over individuals. “The Tour is no longer won by a single exceptional rider, but by an exceptional team. We believe we’re bringing one of the most complete squads to the start. Remco and Florian have already shown they can podium at the Tour, and their different strengths give us tactical options that can prove decisive,” he said.

Alongside the two leaders will be Jai Hindley, a Giro d’Italia winner and third at the 2026 edition of the Italian race. The Australian will add mountain experience, particularly in an opening week that includes demanding ascents such as the Col d’Aspin and the Tourmalet, climbs where he has shone before.
The line-up is completed by Maxim Van Gils, Mattia Cattaneo, Jan Tratnik, Nico Denz, and Tim van Dijke. Van Gils arrives in top form after returning with a win following a serious crash months earlier, offering an offensive option on rolling stages.

Tratnik will serve as road captain, a key figure to marshal the team on the most stressful days, while Cattaneo brings the experience of tackling his 15th Grand Tour as a professional and will be an important piece in the team time trial that opens this Tour - as well as guiding Evenepoel, as he's done in the past at Quick-Step.
Denz and Van Dijke, for their part, will be essential in the workload and protection of the leaders. The German has three stage wins at the Giro d’Italia with the team, while the Dutchman will make his Tour de France debut after recovering from a broken collarbone sustained at an altitude camp.
Sports director Patxi Vila highlighted the squad’s depth: “The strength of this team goes far beyond Remco and Florian. We have experienced climbers, all-rounders, and riders capable of taking responsibility in any race situation. We have answers for virtually any scenario.”
