MTB Olympic champion Tom Pidcock will briefly return to the dirt as he is set to tackle the World Cup rounds on the first two weekends of May, before refocusing on the road and his preparation towards the Tour de France.
INEOS Grenadiers have shared on social media the young British rider's schedule for the upcoming weeks, which will include the XCC and XCO events in Albstadt, Germany, in the 6th and 8th of May. The week after he'll travel to the Czech Republic where on the 13th and 15th of May Pidcock will be riding the XCC and XCO tracks in Nové Mesto.
After his 2021 classics campaign, Pidcock has used the same two races in preparation for his surprise win at the Olympics. The Briton has took at the time fifth and first place in the two races respectively. This year he isn't expected to travel to Les Gets in July where he was present last year, as he is bidding his time to make a Tour de France debut.
