The local squads that will fight against Movistar, EF and Astana in the Tour Colombia 2024

Excitement and expectations are rising as the fourth edition of the Tour Colombia approaches, an event that not only promises great emotions but will also bring together some of the most outstanding squads of world cycling on Colombian soil during February.
Three World Tour teams and two Pro Teams will mark their presence in this prestigious event. Astana Qazaqstan Team, EF Education-Easypost and Movistar Team will arrive with their roster, yet to be fully confirmed, but already announced the participation of renowned figures such as British sprinter Mark Cavendish (Astana), Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz (EF) as well as Colombians Harold Tejada (Astana) and Nairo Quintana (Movistar), generating high expectations in the peloton.
However, the competition is not limited to World Tour teams. Two European Pro Teams, Bingoal WB from Belgium and Corratec from Italy, will make their debut in this competition, looking for a place in the race that will start on Tuesday, February 6 from the municipality of Paipa.
The local representation is not far behind, with six Colombian teams presented by Mundo Ciclístico and shown below.

Colombian Teams

  • Team Medellín-EPM: Led by Óscar Sevilla and Fabio Duarte, this team brings experience and skill to seek prominence in the race.
  • Colombia Potencia de la Vida-Strongman: With its new star Jeisson Casallas, this team will seek to make its mark in the competition.
  • Nu Colombia Cycling Team: Led by Sergio Luis Henao, a reference in the peloton, will seek to compete at the highest level.
  • Team Sistecrédito: With Jeison Reyes as reinforcement and Wilson Peña as leader, this team has its sights set on making a significant mark.
  • GW Erco Shimano: Highlighting Edgar Andres Pinzon and emerging promises, this team presents itself as a force on the rise.
  • Orgullo Paisa: With Johan Colón as its great sprinter, this team expects to shine in the sprint stages.
