In 2022 Dylan van Baarle won Paris-Roubaix and finished second at the Tour of Flanders. He was signed by Team Visma | Lease a Bike to be a new leader but has since been affected by countless injuries. On stage 1 of the Tour Down Under, the Dutchman crashed once again and is out of the race with a fracture.

In 2023 van Baarle made his debut with Visma by winning Omloop het Nieuwsblad, but his spring was turned on it's head and he had to miss out on most races. He did participate in Paris-Roubaix, but crashed and fractured a hand and scapula.

In 2024 he looked to make a comeback but this was far from happening, and he only had 20 race days to his name. He was ill during most of the spring after and did not start Paris-Roubaix after feeling unwell.

The Tour de France became the main goal but he had to miss it after crashing at the Criterium du Dauphiné and fracturing a collarbone. He set sights on La Vuelta but abandoned right on the second day of the race after fracturing his hip in another fall. Because of his early season ending, he decided to start it early in 2025, leading a young lineup at the Tour Down Under. The bad luck followed him across the world as he was involved in the crash inside the final kilometers and once again, fractured a collarbone and was forced to abandon the race.

Dylan van Baarle was involved in a crash in the final kilometers of today's stage. Examinations after the finish line have revealed that he has broken his collar bone and he will not be able to start tomorrow," Visma wrote on a social media post. "This is a tough setback, but we know Dylan is a fighter who will come back stronger than ever. Looking forward to that moment already".
