In 2025, the Vuelta a Andalucía will celebrate a very special edition. The Spanish race reaches its centenary. In addition to a brutal route, several stars of the peloton will be part of its line-up of participants. One of them will be Tom Pidcock, making his race debut.
The Brit has been a name on everyone's lips in recent months. After his blockbuster departure from INEOS Grenadiers, Pidcock has signed for the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in a surprising step down from one of the World Tour heavyweights for a ProTeam.
The Olympic Mountain Bike champion will be present at the Vuelta a Andalucía 2025 as leader of the Q36.5 lineup, confirmed by the organization itself. The race, as already known, will start on February 19 in Malaga. That first stage will start in Torrox Costa, and will finish next to the emblematic Cueva de Nerja, in the well-known Balcón de Europa.
For Tom Pidcock, it will be a great opportunity to add an overall win for his Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. In the end, he has come to the Swiss squad with the goal of making the team great.
The centenary of the Tour of Andalusia will be extended until February 23, with the celebration of its final stage (5th). It will also start in Malaga, but will end in Cadiz, in La Línea de la Concepción. This last day will consist of two mountain passes: Alto del Madroño (first category) and Alto del Espino (third). After the first climb, the cyclists will pass through towns such as Gaucín and San Roque before the finish in La Línea, which has hosted the race on 16 occasions.
The other 3 stages are as follows:
