The preliminary startlist for Strade Bianche Donne has been revealed, with many of the biggest names in the women’s peloton preparing to take on the white roads of Tuscany on 7 March.

Among the headline riders expected to line up in Siena are Demi Vollering, Lotte Kopecky, Marianne Vos and Elisa Longo Borghini, with a deep field assembled for one of the most spectacular one-day races of the spring.

The race follows the same dramatic finale as the men’s event, culminating with the steep ascent of Via Santa Caterina before the finish in Siena’s iconic Piazza del Campo. With gravel sectors, punchy climbs and an explosive uphill finale, Strade Bianche Donne has become one of the most prestigious early-season targets on the Women’s WorldTour calendar.

In recent years, the race has been shaped by some of the most dominant riders in the sport.

Vollering claimed victory in the 2023 and 2025 editions with powerful performances on the Tuscan gravel, while Kopecky triumphed in 2024 after attacking on the final climb into Siena. Both riders return in 2026 among the leading favourites.

Before them, Longo Borghini delivered a memorable win in 2022, attacking on the sterrato roads to take a popular home victory for Italy.

Together, those victories highlight the type of rider who tends to succeed at Strade Bianche Donne: explosive climbers capable of repeated accelerations on the gravel sectors and strong enough to survive the brutal final ramp into the Piazza del Campo.

With several recent winners returning to the startline and another deep field assembled, the 2026 edition promises another high-level battle on the white roads of Tuscany.
