The stage will start in the Italian town Pinerolo and finish in the French Alps tough the precise location of the finish line is yet to be known.
It will not be the first time that Tour visits the town because during the 2011 edition, the town sow Edvald Boasson Hagen winning since the 17th stage finished there. And in the next day the 18th stage started there with Andy Schleck winning that on Galibier Serre-Chevalier.
With the finish location no yet reveled and being located on a very mountainous region, there are a lot of possible difficult climbs to be passed, whilst the opening stages of the race are also set to be quite complicated.
Colle delle Finestre, Sestriere, Col de Montegenèvre even the Colle dell'Agnello-Col d'Izoard combination are very appetizing possibilities that can turn this stage into a very interesting to watch and important for GC matters.
