Sergio Higuita, Jai Hindley and Ide Schelling headline BORA - hansgrohe's ambitions at Amstel Gold Race

BORA - hansgrohe ambition high results in the Ardennes classics. Although the other two classics suit better the German team, they nevertheless hope for a strong result with the trio of Ide Schelling, Sergio Higuita and Jai Hindley.

Hindley will be waiting for the other two classics to make more of a difference, with Amstel focused on shorter and less steep climbs. Patrick Gamper, Ben Zwiehoff and Luis-Joe Lührs will be providing a supportive role with the latter also acquiring experience for future races.

Ide Schelling and Sergio Higuita have both won stages at the recent Itzulia Basque Country. The Dutchman will have here his best opportunity and he will be a very dangerous contender taking into consideration the less steep ascents. However, if the race breaks apart, Sergio Higuita will also be a strong card. Both have shown their sprinting speed recently in Spain.

BORA - hansgrohe for Amstel Gold Race: Giovanni Aleotti, Patrick Gamper, Sergio Higuita, Jai Hindley, Ide Schelling, Ben Zwiehoff and Luis-Joe Lührs.
