Paul Magnier is just unstoppable at the moment. For the third day running at the 2025 Cro Race, the Soudal - Quick-Step sprinter has powered to the victory on stage 3, this time denying Ben Turner in a frantic finale.
Five riders went up the road early to form the day's breakaway. Notable among the attackers, was Team Solution Tech - Vini Fantini's 30-year-old Brit Mark Stewart. Inside the final 60km of the day, things started to break up in the lead group, but as those dropped found a second wind, all five were back together at the Bribir - the final categorised climb of the day - at around 40km to go. By 30km to go, their lead was still standing strong around the 1:45 mark.
With around 12km to go, the break had been successfully reeled back in by the peloton, and attention turned towards the finale. No difference making attacks followed from there on out, before in the sprint for the line, it was then Ben Turner who opened things up, but the Brit could not hold on for the victory, as the inevitable Paul Magnier powered around the INEOS Grenadiers man to secure his third straight stage win this race!
