Remco Evenepoel is currently on his off-season and beginning preparations for 2023, but he is receiving more awards throughout these few weeks than throughout the rest of his successful season. He's been awarded the best Flemish Sportsperson of the Year.
This prestigious award comes as his fourth in the a short period of time. Just yesterday Evenepoel won the Velo d'Or with a dominant score ahead of Wout van Aert and Tadej Pogacar, at the age of 2022. Following a glorious year in cycling where he became World Champion and won races such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Vuelta a Espana, it has put him in position for success over the winter aswell.
