The Tour of Denmark 2025 will be decided this Saturday, and there's the potential for a home favourite to win the GC. There are almost 160 kilometers of steep climbs where
Mads Pedersen is once again the favourite for the stage and overall win. The star of
Lidl-Trek wants to add his third victory and also to seal the overall classification., his main rival is Niklas Larsen, who is 58 seconds behind. We
preview the final stage.
Barring any surprises, the American team should be able to take the overall win without any problems, and even put another rider in the Top 3. Thanks to his victory in the time trial, Jakob Soderqvist is 4th, just 4 seconds behind the current third, Lukas Kubis. Everything will depend on the development of this final stage. We will also have to wait for Mattias Skjelmose, who is 8th in the overall without having stood out. The cyclist, also from Lidl-Trek, has scored a couple of Top 10s in the Tour of Denmark, but has not been able to fight for victories.
Profile of the final stage
Regarding the analysis of the final stage itself, the Tour of Denmark ends with another explosive stage, although it is honestly very difficult to make a difference until the final circuit of the race. The day starts in Hobro and, although it features quite a few small climbs throughout the day, all the attention will be focused on the final circuit.
The stage finishes in Silkebourg after 157 kilometers and the riders will ride four laps. Here there is a small climb of 1 kilometer at 5.1%, which is tackled every 5.5 kilometers - the last of which coincides with the finish line. The climb isn't very hard, but the fact that the stage ends with this climb should see a lack of attacks and a big focus on those final gaps and bonuses to grab.
Stage 5: Hobro - Silkebourg, 157.1 kilometers

How: the Lidl-Trek superstar will once again make an unstoppable attack (we'll see if it's as long as the 67 km attack of the previous day) to take his third stage victory and seal the overall classification. Thus, he will be full of confidence for the Vuelta a España.
