PREVIEW | Tour des Alpes Maritimes 2024 stage 2 - Ethan Vernon to defend race lead in final hilly stage around Nice

Preview stage 2. On the 17th and 18th of February the riders take on the Tour des Alpes Maritimes. In the Southwest of France the riders tackle two hilly days, in what is one of France's several early-season stage-races.
Stage 2 is harder and perhaps just as important in the bigger picture. It's short and explosive nature, with only 132 kilometers in distance, may prove deadly for some. The riders start right away with the famous Col d'Éze and tackle several ascents that are made famous in Paris-Nice. At the end of the day the peloton climbs 3.6 kilometers at 5.3%, which summit just 3 kilometers before the finish in Vence which will be in a plateau.
Stage 2: Villefrance-Sur-Mer - Vence, 132 kilometers
