The Corsa Rosa is the first Grand Tour of the season, and this year, it will include a start in Albania, a nation that will, for the first time in its history, host a Grand Tour. The second half will also feature several mountain stages, while the first half will feature some tricky stages, including one that goes through a lot of the Strade Bianche course. We preview stage 10.
The second and final time-trial of the race, of moderate length. It will be flat, but the Giro organizers did not plan on making a traditional day against the clock. The 28 kilometers will be enough to create differences, however amongst the best things should stay relatively similar.
There isn't too much to analyze, as the roads truly are mostly flat almost from start to finish. Right before the second intermediate sprint there is a tricky descent with a few hairpins that will require some attention, but as long as they keep it upright there, then it's smooth sailing into Pisa and it's leaning tower.

There might be some headwind during the time-trial but above all, it is quite possible that the rain will fall during the afternoon. The forecast points towards a more likely chance later in the afternoon, which may benefit the early starts (the non-GC contenders) in the fight for the stage win.
When it comes to the GC fight I expect Isaac del Toro to defend himself pretty well and keep a nice gap over Juan Ayuso and Primoz Roglic. I do believe Antonio Tiberi will defend his third place as well against the likes of McNulty and Roglic who should climb up the Top10 significantly with this effort. Most riders will be trying to limit losses to try and remain in the fight for the podium - although the Siena stage absolutely gives hope that the fight for pink may absolutely not just be between Ayuso and Roglic.
Wout van Aert and Edoardo Affini will hope to bring a second victory for Visma, but I think Joshua Tarling continues to be the man to beat for this flat effort. His form is very good and his talent is extreme, which will be hard for anyone else at the start to match.
Prediction Giro d'Italia 2025 stage 10:
*** Joshua Tarling, Edoardo Affini
** Wout van Aert, Primoz Roglic, Juan Ayuso
* Jay Vine, Mathias Vacek, Luke Plapp, Ethan Hayter, Brandon McNulty, Isaac del Toro, Daan Hoole, Mads Pedersen,
Pick: Joshua Tarling
