On the 7th of October we have another reputable Italian classic, part of the late-season block. It is time for the
Coppa Bernocchi, a race that is more guided towards the sprinters than most others; but nevertheless features terrain for a very open race. We
preview the race ahead.
The riders take on a route that starts and finishes in Legnano. It's not fully flat, it features seven ascents of the 'Piccolo Stelvio', but the riders will be happy to know it has nothing to do with the famous Alpine climb. It is only a small 1.6-kilometer hilltop at 6%, the last of which ends with 31 kilometers to go. From there on it's almost smooth sailing into the finish where a sprint is expected.
Legnanon - Legnano, 174.7 kilometers
