Phil Bauhaus to lead Bahrain Victorious in Bemer Cyclassics

Team Bahrain Victorious has revealed its lineup for the Bemer Cyclassics. The team will be led by Phil Bauhaus in their quest to win the 205km race.

Bauhaus will be supported by Heinrich Haussler, who will play a crucial role in lead out. Kamil Gradek, Jan Tratnik, Yukiya Arashiro, and Matevz Goveka will also play a crucial support role throughout the race. The team has also decided to include Jonathan Milan after seeing his performance in Tour de Pologne, in which he took 2 bronze and finished 70th overall.

The team is in dire need of points to secure their seat in WorldTour. “The goal for this race is to win it, and we expect it to be a reduced bunch sprint to the finish line. We’ll work for Phil as he’s in very good shape. It’s a World Tour race, so this is an important race for us. There are 4 climbs, the last one 17km before the finish. If there are some attacks, Jan Tratnik will follow attacks. All the others will work for Phil or Jonathan Milan in case there are any issues with Phil, like a puncture or a crash. We have a strong team for this race and will fight to win it,” said Sports director Enrico Poitschke.
