In conversation with Pablo Ordorica before the start of Movistar Team's presentation, an excited Pablo Castrillo confessed that, despite being a rookie, he had not been hazed. In addition, he confirmed the first two races with his new jersey after having achieved 2 important victories in the Vuelta a España this year with Equipo Kern Pharma.
"Pretty good, having a good time. There is no hazing. They dress us up and we have to tell in a chair an anecdote or a joke. I'll start in the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and the UAE Tour," he shared in words at the presentation.
Already on stage during the presentation, after being asked by Perico Delgado and Mónica Marchante, Castrillo gave the reasons for his signing with Movistar (we know that he had it done with INEOS and that Eusebio Unzué convinced him to go to Movistar during the Vuelta):
"Especially with the history that this team has and being a Spanish team, I thought I was going to make a lot of progress in a team like this. Looking forward to the start of the season and to see what these campaigns with Movistar Team have in store for us."
Undoubtedly Castrillo is the great signing of Movistar for an exciting 2025 season and Enric Mas himself said during the presentation that he expected to see him in action at a high level, possible racing together during the year. The Jaca native will be 24 years old on January 2 and there is no doubt that he is at the time of launching a career that promises a lot.
