Official: Primoz Roglic skips Tour de Suisse, Wout van Aert returns to racing ahead of Tour de France

There were big chances that Primoz Roglic would race the Tour de Suisse after his Giro d'Italia win, as he looks to win the final of the big one-week races he's missing. That won't be the case, but Jumbo-Visma present a strong lineup for the Tour de Suisse including Wout van Aert.

The Belgian has chosen Switzerland as his location for the final racing block before the Tour de France, where he will have a few opportunities to take stage wins. Alongside him will be Wilco Kelderman who comes in to fight for the overall classification, the two have been preparing together for the Tour at high altitude in the Alps and the Dutchman is likely to be at the start due to Steven Kruijswijk's recent injuries.

Much of the Giro's lineup will be present as Sam Oomen, Rohan Dennis and Koen Bouwman come in to support in the mountainous terrain, Robert Gesink returns to racing after having Covid-19 take him out of the Corsa Rosa, and Mick van Dijke concludes the lineup.

Jumbo-Visma for Tour de Suisse:

Wout van Aert, Wilco Kelderman, Sam Oomen, Robert Gesink, Rohan Dennis, Koen Bouwman and Mick van Dijke.
