Noemi Rüegg wins 2025 Women's Tour Down Under as Chloe Dygert sprints to victory in Stirling

Spectacular end of the Women's Tour Down Under 2025 with the victory of the American Chloe Dygert in Stirling, the American rider was the strongest in the final sprint, whilst Noemi Rüegg secured the overall title.
On the final day, the American Dygert (CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto) imposed her power on the long finishing straight and although the Dutch Silke Smulders (Liv AlUla Jayco) tried, she could not even get on her wheel. Rüegg (EF Education-Oatly) finished third ahead of Ruth Edwards and Sarah Van Dam.
In the overall, decided by the second stage with the traditional finish on Willunga Hill, Rüegg finished ahead of Smulders and Norway's Mie Bjorndal Ottestad (Uno-X Mobility). The men's race of the Tour Down Under will start next Tuesday, January 21.

- Merlier with Bert leading him out against Milan and his whole sprint train will be such a fun competition. I think Merlier has an edge as he’s shown himself to be incredibly adaptable to the race situation, surf wheels, and improvise. For Milan, if his train nails it, he’s the best. If they don’t, Merlier takes the W. I still don’t get why Alpecin neglected Merlier in favor of Philipsen in ‘21.
