The riders are deep into their off-season, but a few of the world's best have assembled today in Singapore. The Tour de France has organized an exhibition criterium event, won by Isaac del Toro ahead of Paul Seixas.
Every year, the Tour de France organizes several events in Asia, bringing along many of its headliners. In Japan, and now in Singapore, a criterium has taken place, with some of this year's headliners taking over the spotlight.
The race in Singapore had a circuit format, and featured a few of the 2026 edition's stage winners. The race finished with a victory by Isaac del Toro, who attacked with just under 4 kilometers to go and took a solo win.
Del Toro dropped Paul Seixas with his late attack. The Frenchman ultimately rode to second place. Soren Waerenskjold sprinted to third place, beating Mauro Schmid into the last place of the podium.
The riders are taking the opportunity to explore the south-east Asian country whilst the European continent begins to take on the winter weather. Within the space of a month, most World Tour teams will begin to assemble in Spain for the training camps.

Del Toro gears up for key season

The Mexican rider has had a stellar year with overall victories at the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico and Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
His Tour de France debut was met with his first stage win right away in Barcelona; a third place and youth classification victory by the time the riders reached Paris; and protected status even in a team that included overall winner Tadej Pogacar.
Del Toro has also won the GP de Montréal later in the season, beating Paul Seixas - as he did now in Singapore. He was unable to win at the World Championships and Il Lombardia, but nevertheless had a successful season.
Over the coming month, the decision will be taken on whether he will lead UAE Team Emirates - XRG at the 2027 Giro d'Italia; or if he will return to the Tour de France with Tadej Pogacar.
