Jakub Mareczko took his third victory of the season in fourth stage of
Tour de Langkawi on Friday. He was best in the final sprint and took the victory.
With last two breakaway riders caught in the final 10 kilometers, every team was trying to put their riders in best postion which turned into chaos. There was also a crash half a kilometers before the end. “It was really close, because in the end it was so chaotic but my team left me in the best position for the sprint and in the end we did it,” said Mareczko.
“Our team worked hard from the beginning. We were looking for this stage today," the Italian rider said in post race interview. "The victory today is the best way and we try also the next days to do the same,” concluded Mareczko. He currently holds 101st position in GC, 46 minutes behind overall leader Ivan Sosa.
