"My focus will be on the two time trials" - Filippo Ganna announces intention to ride 2024 Giro d'Italia

On Friday night, at the presentation of the profile and route of the 2024 Giro d'Italia, the likes of Primoz Roglic, Jai Hindley and Filippo Ganna were all guests on stage. The Italian though, was the only man to confirm his participation.
With nearly 70km worth of individual time-trial on the announced route, a renowned specialist such as Ganna believes there could be plenty of opportunity for success.
"It will be a demanding Giro," previews the INEOS Grenadiers powerhouse, who also tried his luck at sprinting during the recent Vuelta a Espana. "My focus will be on the two time trials, of which the second in Desenzano may suit me best. In any case, it is special to win a stage in the Giro, so I want to do that again."

I can understand that they would want to check for motors, but surely it makes no sense to have a rider sit on a bike that complies to a set dimension rather than have the bike set up to suit each the riders unique biomechanical needs. - Nobody has unlimited money. At the best the team would be throwing a million to universities for studies. they dont have the werewithal to fund a Doping research lab exclusively for them. Also in UAE the only outlier is Pogi. The others are getting beaten pretty normally, they dont last until the end of the race either when helping out.
