On Friday night, at the presentation of the profile and route of the 2024
Giro d'Italia, the likes of
Primoz Roglic,
Jai Hindley and
Filippo Ganna were all guests on stage. The Italian though, was the only man to confirm his participation.
With nearly 70km worth of individual time-trial on the announced route, a renowned specialist such as Ganna believes there could be plenty of opportunity for success.
"It will be a demanding Giro," previews the
INEOS Grenadiers powerhouse, who also tried his luck at sprinting during the recent Vuelta a Espana. "My focus will be on the two time trials, of which the second in Desenzano may suit me best. In any case, it is special to win a stage in the Giro, so I want to do that again."
